What Jesus Says

MESSAGE SUMMARY

Darren Gaudreau titled this message "What Jesus Says," built around the idea that Jesus speaks with total authority, but always in love, compassion, and truth — and that the goal of hearing God's word is to actually hear what Jesus is saying to the individual heart, not just to hear the speaker. Gaudreau also shared a personal testimony about a serious highway accident two weeks earlier involving himself and his wife Josephine, crediting God's protection for them walking away unharmed, and closed with an appeal for listeners to respond to whatever Jesus is personally saying to their hearts, citing James 4:7 on resisting the devil.

The Precious Promises of Peter — Part 5

MESSAGE SUMMARY

Continuing the Precious Promises of Peter series, Pastor Brian Charles picks up where the previous sessions left off on the shed blood of Christ, then follows the Spirit into a wider message about actually using what Jesus has already provided. His recurring line is that provision without application changes nothing: "I have to claim what Jesus did for me, because if I don't, I won't get it."

He reviews the ground already covered — Gethsemane's drops of blood for the healing of mind, will and emotions; the crown of thorns as a two-fold redemption from the curse of the ground and the curse of the broken law; the stripes for physical healing; and the believer made a king and a priest with delegated authority. He illustrates application with a personal account of a night-time satanic attack on his mind, which lifted within twenty minutes as he applied the blood and took authority.

From there the message becomes intensely practical. Faith means believing the Word when circumstances say otherwise, as Abraham did at seventy-five. He recounts Helen refusing a prognosis of cane, walker, wheelchair and bed, and walking back through the doors healed. He warns against partnering with Satan by repeating his accusations, and describes answering slander by blessing the accused until the voices stop. He insists God does not put sickness on people to teach them: there are no wheelchairs in heaven, and believers hold a dual citizenship whose rights they are meant to claim.

The final third turns to giving. He recounts spending his own tithe, repenting, and receiving back the exact amount through four or five people; grounds the practice in Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek before the Law existed; and tells of handing over an entire preaching honorarium to the driver who collected him, and of a minister who gave away a ten-thousand-dollar offering and later found his mortgage paid in full. He closes on worship, warning against spiritual arrogance and loving a doctrine more than Christ, urging hearers to worship the Giver rather than the gifts, to submit to genuine leadership rather than church-hop, and to stay word-minded — testing every claim by chapter and verse.

MESSAGE SUMMARY

Continuing the "Precious Promises of Peter" series, Pastor Brian Charles goes deeper into the precious blood of Christ from 1 Peter 1:18-20 — believers aren't redeemed by silver, gold, tradition, or works, but by the blood of a spotless Lamb foreordained before the foundation of the world. He walks through specific places the blood was shed and what each purchased: in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus sweat great drops of blood under the weight of mental and emotional pressure, so believers could apply that blood to their minds and take authority over intruding thoughts rather than let the enemy — pictured as the "Lord of the Flies" — torment them the way flies burrow into an unshepherded sheep's ears. Under the crown of thorns, Jesus redeemed believers from the curse on the ground (Genesis 3:17) and made them kings and priests (Revelation 1:5-6, 1 Peter 2:9) — a kingly anointing to exercise authority over darkness, and a priestly anointing to minister before God.

He shares personal testimonies of walking in that authority — demons recognizing him in an elevator and in a Tim Hortons parking lot after time spent "prayed up" — and reminds the church that identity isn't based on feelings but on what God says: "I am what God says I am, regardless of how I feel." Pastor Charles closes by pointing to Psalm 23 as a picture of present relationship with the Good Shepherd who restores the soul, then leads communion, tying 1 Corinthians 10:16 to the blood that unites believers to Christ and to one another, before an altar call inviting anyone watching to come to the Father the only way there is — through Jesus.

Continuing the "Precious Promises of Peter" series, Pastor Brian Charles closes out the teaching on the precious blood of Christ before turning to the believer's identity as kings and priests. He revisits the blood shed in Gethsemane (mental and emotional healing), the crown of thorns (the curse on the ground reversed, and believers made kings and priests), and grounds the believer's new identity in 1 Peter 2:9 — a chosen generation, royal priesthood, holy nation — tying it to being one spirit with God (1 Corinthians 6:17) and complete in Him (Colossians 2:9-10).
